Meet Our Lead Designer
Dezmin McCoy is an Accredited Event Designer, Accredited Floral Designer, and Accredited Balloon Designer with a certificate in LUXE events from the Institute of Wedding and Event Design.
​
Dezmin began designing events for herself first. From her Sweet 16 to her birthday parties to her baby shower and wedding, Dezmin wanted to ensure that every event was decorated in a way that the guests' experience at the event was unmatched. She then began decorating for family, friends, and in her workplace. In 2019, she decided to turn this passion project into her business and The DM Experience was born.
Dezmin is a native Detroiter. After graduating from Cass Technical High School, she attended and graduated from Howard University with a bachelor's degree, the University of Missouri with a master's degree, and is nearing completion of her doctorate at Wayne State University. She has been a math teacher for a decade and loves both of her careers.
